CASE STUDY / UNIFIED OBSERVABILITY STACK
Busigence Technologies · Aug 2023–Feb 2024
Centralized metrics, logs, and traces with Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and Grafana to support infrastructure visibility and troubleshooting.
01 / OVERVIEW
Project overview.
Professional infrastructure work at Busigence Technologies, August 2023–February 2024. My work covered deployment and integration of a metrics, logging, and tracing stack, together with Grafana sign-on and access control.
02 / ARCHITECTURE
How it works.
Mimir and Loki were deployed with Helm, while Tempo was deployed with a Kubernetes operator. Prometheus remote write connected the metrics pipeline. Tracing storage and log ingress supported the telemetry flows, with Grafana providing centralized access to the stack.
03 / FEATURES
What it does.
- Deployed Mimir and Loki using Helm.
- Deployed Tempo using a Kubernetes operator.
- Integrated Prometheus remote write and configured tracing storage and log ingress.
- Configured Grafana SSO and centralized access control.
- Worked on tracing storage cost optimization and centralized troubleshooting.
04 / LESSONS & LIMITATIONS
Learning through building.
This case study is based on the professional project summary in my public GitHub profile. Employer implementation code and internal diagrams are not published here. No numerical cost, performance, or availability claims are included. The diagram is an illustration of the technology stack.
